These tools are now commonly used by utilities, cities, governmental agencies, and businesses. Application of GIS for land use planning, health, and resource usage will be investigated.

About the Presenter
Alex Mednick is a technology and environmental professional with an extensive background in computer science, finance, green building and environmental planning. Alex has been a leader in a number of organizations, including Sustainable Silicon Valley, the Green Building Council in Monterey Bay and Silicon Valley, Acterra, and most recently the EcoGreen Group of Silicon Valley.
