A Presentation by Sheila Davis

svtc logo 1Solar PV shares many materials and technologies with the electronics industry, and it has great potential to repeat that industry's environmental mistakes. Sheila Davis will present SVTC's landmark work in electronic waste recycling and SVTC's newest campaign to promote environmental health, safety and responsible recycling in the solar industry.

About the Presenter

Sheila Davis picSheila Davis has played a valuable role at Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition (SVTC) and in shaping environmental policy in the high-tech industry. She is one of the co-founders of the Computer TakeBack Campaign. In 1996 she researched and developed the first electronic recycling legislation to reach the California Governor's desk and in 1999 spearheaded the first pilot programs in the country to collect and recycle electronic waste from the residential curbside.
